v1.8.0
·
Feature
Staff can set how their pages open and which columns they see. Contractors can favorite permits, addresses and parcels. Inspectors can keep working without a signal, and permits now show everyone involved.
What's new
Your own default views Choose whether the Dashboard, Records, Inspection History and Assignment pages open as a map or a list, and which stat cards you see. Settings are saved to your account, and nobody else's view changes.
Choose your table columns Hide, show and reorder columns in tables. Your layout stays saved for your next visit.
Favorites for contractors Star a permit, an address or a parcel to follow it. Favorites belong to your account, so they're there on every device you sign in on.
Inspections that keep working offline The inspector app now saves what you do without a signal, such as results, notes and photos, and sends it automatically once you're back online.
Arrival notices by email Inspectors can email permit contacts when they reach a stop, so people know someone has arrived.
Several people in one role on a permit A permit can now show more than one person for the same role, such as a second applicant. Agencies using a Google Sheet will see everyone they map.
Approved plans for agency staff Staff can see a permit's approved plans alongside its documents. Plans stay hidden from everyone else.
Contractor Explore Explore opens on issued permits, and you can narrow the map by permit subcategory. Permit cards show the subcategory too.
Improvements
Permit details show who's involved. Owner, applicant and contractor names now appear on permit details.
Inspector permit screen. The inspector app has a permit detail screen, so inspectors can see a permit's details without leaving the app.
Finaled permits explain themselves. The scheduling page says why you can't book another inspection on a finaled permit, instead of just not offering one.
Sidebar counts stay current. The Triage and Assignment badges update as work changes, with no refresh needed.
Assignment opens as a list. The assignment page now opens as a list by default. You can change that in your settings.
Today's inspections on a map. The public inspections page now has a map view, and you can filter it by inspector. Inspectors without a name show a clear label.
Hold back unfinished applications. An agency using a Google Sheet can choose to hold rows that have no application status yet. They appear once a status is filled in.
Fixes
Public permit page. We removed the map section to give room to the permit's details.
Explore map. Tapping the map now closes the keyboard, and the preview hides while the list is raised.
Inspector app. A photo upload now stops if publishing the results times out, and the photo picker no longer lets you add photos to an inspection that can't be edited.
Wording. We fixed a missing space on the stat cards and reworded the conditions of approval placeholder.
Update the mobile apps
The inspector and contractor apps need an update from the App Store or Google Play to get these changes.
